Communication and Involvement
At the International School Turks and Caicos Islands (ISTCI), we believe education is a shared journey between school and family, built on open communication and active participation that foster a strong sense of community and support every student’s success.
Parents stay connected through Firefly, ISTCI’s secure communication platform that provides access to announcements, class updates, and important school information. Log in regularly to stay informed about school-wide reminders, celebrations, and updates from across the ISTCI community. Families are also encouraged to take part in school life through parent-teacher meetings, Exit Points, school events, volunteering opportunities, and the ISTCI Parent Association.
Academic Support and Wellbeing
At ISTCI, every student is supported to reach their full potential. Our caring team provides academic and emotional guidance to ensure that each child feels confident, capable, and inspired to learn.
Learning Support
ISTCI’s dedicated Learning Support team, led by our SEN specialist, works closely with teachers and families to identify and address individual learning needs. Through tailored strategies and inclusive classroom practices, we help students build essential skills and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Guidance and Wellbeing
Our teachers and leadership team provide ongoing guidance to nurture students’ social and emotional development. We believe wellbeing is the foundation of learning and encourage open communication between school and home to support every child’s growth.
Homework and Home Learning
Homework at ISTCI reinforces classroom learning while helping students develop independence and responsibility. Reading is encouraged daily, and each assignment is designed to deepen understanding, strengthen communication between home and school, and engage parents in their child’s education.
Extracurricular Activities
Beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to explore their interests and develop new skills through a range of extracurricular activities. These experiences promote creativity, teamwork, and confidence while supporting balanced personal growth.
